The new method of distribution that Microsoft now uses is one where they deliver the new major updates split across other updates and then the enablement package ( the last update) simply switches on the various components

It is a good method to prevent the load on the servers and the end user systems which was a downside previously, especially in those areas where internet access is still slow or irregular

Was finally offered 21H2 today via WU. Downloaded and installed quickly on my old dinosaur.
Seems ok other than the Xbox window opened and will not close. Will be checking on that.

Also checked for any more updates via WU, and once again was offered and installed KB4023057
    So I'm sitting on 21H2 version 19044.1348

PS a restart cleared the Xbox screen issue.

On my laptop it took less than one minute to download. However, it was over ten minutes before it rebooted and finished the update.
