I put the 1TB spinner HDD in for the D drive that was originally intended for this build. It's been 8 days without a problem so I'd have to presume the M.2 SSD was defective.
A drive can have two kinds of problems: Software and Harware
- Software is the most common problem. It can be repaired with check disk (chkdsk c: /f ) or a complete disk clean (diskpart clean)
- A hardware problem is more frequent on HDD as they are mechanical devices, It can't be repaired.

If your HDD is working well, try to clone it to the M.2 SSD.
