    Help getting correct SSD

I have a 250 Gb M.2 SSD in my HP 250 G6 Notebook PC which I want to upgrade to 1Tb. The attached show the Crucial scanner recommendation. I bought this cloned the original SSD but the new disk wasn't recognised. Someone suggested I need a SATA M.2 drive not a PCle drive.

I would appreciate help in ordering the correct disk.

    Windows 10 Pro. Ver. 21H1.

Interesting. Your existing Samsung M.2 SSD is SATA, but Crucial recommends NVME drives for an "HP 250 G6". Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp business notebooks | HP 250 G6 (Intel Core i7-7500U / i5-7200U / i3-6006U) | Crucial.com

The service manual suggests that you need a SATA drive. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05485525

Can you see the NVME drive in the notebook's BIOS?
