Obviously there are differences as the Hub is checking for something at boot. Is there a more advanced sub forum with individuals who are aware of these differences that the hub may be looking for?
The same difference starts with installer, it wouldn't even boot from the Win 10 USB installer versus the 8.1 variation....
I'm curious - would it not be easier to use the "Replacement PC" connections and option, with a compact PC or old laptop driving it? You can download the device drivers and get all the functionality you want without the hacks.
