HDD>>SSD Upgrade 0xc000000e Error. Please Help!

Hi, I am getting 0xc000000e error at boot, tried bios reset, legacy/uefi, boot drive etc but no luck.
I am upgrading from old tired HDD to SSD, clean install is not an option as a few Iot programmes i have will need alot of sorting.
First i tried Samsung data migration on SSD and it worked fine, windows boots up fine but a few ioT programmes are not working properly.
So i purchased Aomei backupper in the hope that if i clone using it my programmes might work, so i cloned HDD to SSD and now i am getting boot error 0xc000000e, then i tried Aomei partition assistant repair hoping it would fix but no luck either. I have tried most video tutorial fixes through command prompt along with win10 bootable usb to fix boot error as well.

I tried renaming drives letter using assign letter=c: etc but getting errors like dynamic needs read/write first, may be somehow unhiding my drive may work ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Can you boot the computer from the HDD? We really need to see a graphical view of the partitions on the drive. Or a screenshot of the graphical view of the partitions in Aoemi. If you have both drives connected above, the first thing I see is that you only have 1 EFI system partition and there should be an EFI system partition on both drives.

So long as the old HDD can be read (you don't have to boot it) then :

The easiest way to achieve what I think what you want to do (and should save a clean install)

1) downoad and create bootable version of GPARTED and boot -- GUI interface very similar to standard partition managers.

Rufus is a good Windows tool for creating bootable media from an iso.

2) create new partition table on target device (also ensure GPT when creating partition table) -> Select Device from the menu and choose create partition table.

3) on each partition on source drive select copy. do it one at a time

4) on the target disk select paste into the spare area - again one partition at a time --you can also change size of target partition(s) -- smaller if data fits or bigger

5) change UUID of all target disk partitions (just right mouse click on the partition and select change uuid)

6) boot up now FREE MACRIUM stand alone version and run the Fix Windows boot problems(select target drive)

7) now it should work

The gparted GUI looks like this (I'm using a Linux laptop currently but the stand alone GPARTED has identical GUI very similar to standard partition managers. Works with all windows file systems as well -- note the fat32 partition (the EFI partition) on windows will probably be labelled(the flags) msftdata or similar



If you have a stand alone bootable Windows partition manager that does the same -- that's also fine -- you will need to change the UUIDS unless you are removing the original disk. Note change the UUIDS AFTER having done the paste !!!

Easy way of "cloning and re-sizing" - you can change size bigger / smaller of all the partitions when pasting so long as there is enough space in the target partition for the copy.

These are the latest photos of 1TB SSD on Aomei & command prompt recovery. Drive letters & partition sizes were identical when i connected HDD & SSD seperately to a running desktop as secondary disk. i cloned 1tb HDD to 1tb SSD and also cloned it to 2tb ssd as HDD was about to die and i didnt wana take risk of having any error due to limited space on destination drive. Now i have a cloned image on 1tb/2tb ssd and nearly dead HDD, i will attempt last data recovery from HDD but will probably be last or may already be too late.

OK. From youf diskpart in the screenshot in post #4, while in diskpart run:

assign letter=t
exit

That should drop you into a command prompt. At the command prompt run:

bcdboot C:\Windows /s T: /f UEFI

Again, that is assuming everything is the same as the diskpart listing in Post #4. See if that fixes it.
