Identical hardware and OS, with control and display discrepancies

Three identical desktops (hardware), identically configured with Windows 10 Pro 20H2, and the same release number — are not the same.

In one installation, the taskbar language indicator is only an icon, and there is no provision to turn it off or on in the Language Settings. It simply switches positions from the taskbar to the top right of the screen.

In another installation, there is a off/on check box in the Language Settings and it shows the keyboard codes like CDN-EN, CDN-FR, which is what we need, not the icon.

Another annoying discrepancy between these supposedly identical installations, is in the System About info. In some. there is a "Copy" button, in another this is missing and copy and paste is disabled as well.

Hi, do you mean in any situation, or specifically in that dialogue?
That text has never been directly copiable by selection as far as I know, but I agree there should be a Copy button.

Do you have any differences in group policy between the PCs?
Do you see e.g. a red message
"Some settings are managed by your organisation" where the copy button is not present?

There are various settings for the language input indicator icon. Please check these are correct, consistent and appropriate:

    Thanks for the reply.
This is so in every situation, but I also have a fourth Windows 10 Home 20H2 laptop, and there is a copy button in the "Windows Specifications" section. That is why I asked.
All installations were "out of the box", including the group policy.
Special thanks for alerting me to the legacy keyboard mode.

Possible solution for copy and paste not working:
Copy and Paste problem - Windows won't do it

There are several related policies, and hence registry values related to the clipboard.

Have a look at your group policy editor and see if any policies are configured. That's easy to do.

Did you use the same installation source for each of these PCs, and if so, what's its origin?

    Thanks again.
I tested clearing the clipboard using Autoclipclear. This didn't help. Now I will examine the policies.

I used one USB for everything, Downloaded the .iso (French version) with Microsoft MediaCreationTool20H2.
