If you want to reinstall the current Windows 10 Build, you still do the upgrade method, that is called an in-place upgrade. If you wish to reinstall and delete everything.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...ws10startfresh

    Download this,

In-place upgrade will not upgrade, it will keep the same Windows but it may also fix stuff.

Also keep in mind that choosing to perform an "in-place upgrade" only works if Windows Setup (Setup.exe) is launched with Windows 10 actively running on the system. I.e., if Setup.exe was launched by booting from a bootable USB, then, in the Windows Setup menu, choosing to perform an "in-place upgrade" pops up a dialog saying you can't do this via the bootable USB method.

In-Place will upgrade to a higher version number if desired.

Thanks again to all who advised. In the end all worked out fine. I can assure you though of one thing, my installation did not go 100% as links here show nor other Microsoft links either. One really good thing is my full reinstall did not take an hour+ as many websites suggested but about 20 minutes. But one thing that really pisses me off (and I wonder if I should post this as a new thread) is that prior to reinstalling I did this: I unplugged all of my hard drives except the main drive (nVme). Only after the new install of the OS (and Office, browsers, antivirus and Adobe) and a few reboots did I plug back in my other hard drives. And what pisses me off (really pisses me off) is that going to Disk Management shows my main C: drive as Disk 2. Shouldn't it be disk O? It's hard to explain why but this really pisses me off. Though the main reason was that my PC had slowed down this "Disc 2" was the other reason. I had noticed this in the past and asked "how come" I was certain that I initially installed windows with only 1 drive and here is the same problem again.

Addendum: You may say it doesn't affect anything much or not at all but to me this feels wrong. It just does, and I wonder if there is any way of changing this (since a new install obviously does not do it).

A M.2 may not show up as Disk 0 no matter what you do, it might always show up at the bottom of the list in Disk Management. If you use a generic windows driver for it, sometimes it will show up as Disk 0.

But more times than not, it won`t. It`s nothing to get upset about

My 970 Pro shows up at the bottom of the list in Disk Management , I use the Samsung driver.

Another thing, a clean install on a M.2 should not run slow at all.

Post a shot of Disk Management if you want, and we`ll have a look see.

Did you do a clean install and delete all partitions on the Western Digital Black ?

Thank you everybody. My main concern was the "for another PC" wording. I had a pretty good idea of what and how all is done but the words, "another PC" were of concern. Now that I know "another PC" can be used for the same PC and not another one I feel assured/safe/good.
"Another PC" means that the ISO file you download can be used to create a W10 installer for any PC.

    Hope that makes sense

Thanks AddRAM, it makes me feel a little better but I still hate it stupid I know. As to my PC running slow. I think I said it ran slow not it runs slow (ran, past tense, hence why I reinstalled W10). As to if I deleted everything, yes and no. I felt unsure about deleting the ones with little space (security something or other) so only deleted the large ones. But I do not understand why now (see image below) the are 2 recovery partitions within Disc 2 and why so many MBs are needed.

    @pintree3

If your boot disk only contains your OS and not other non-OS user partitions (like Data, photos, etc.), you can, and should, delete every partition on it until all you have is one big Unallocated space. That is where you choose to install Windows, in the big empty unallocated space. Windows will create the partitions it needs during installation. This is the preferred method.

The Recovery partitions are useless, I always delete them and reclaim the space, no matter how small it may be.
