    bondy,

If you post the computer make & model then somebody here might know about its [possible] updating limitations.

Several of us have experienced old computers that would not update past a particular Windows 10 Version.

By the way, I assume "1906" was a typo for 1909. That dropped out of support in May this year so no newly-discovered vulnerabilities will get patched up.

    Hello Try3.
I listed what I know about the computer in post 7.

Old mate purchased it as is from an organisation called "SubStation 33". I have spoken to the company, the person I spoke with said they use an imaging programe (imaging software is not known). Every pc they refurbished is done by using same image (cutting down their costs).

On the last attemp, the following message came back

    Windows Update
*Some settings are managed by your organisation.
    View configuration update policies
    Updates Failed
There were problems installing some updates but we'll try again later
Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H1 - Error 0x80070003
Status. Some update files are missing or have problems.

    **************************************************************************************************** *****************************
That was last time I attempted to update the pc, at least more than 3 weeks ago.

    Update,
After using CCleaner , a lot of registry problems, fixed the problem and still could not update.

After trying other suggestions which did not work, At the end of the day I ended up doing a clean install and everything works and updates as it should.

I'm happy, Old mate will be happy as well.

    Cheers,
    Bondy
