Windows set up process query
Hi all,
I have a question for you guys about the Windows Setup procedure we all see during a Windows 10 installation.
After setting up your Microsoft Account, the next setup screens offered are related to Privacy (Location, Basic/Full Diagnostics, Advertising ID, etc). Windows setup then asks you if you want to set up various services (Onedrive, Microsoft 365 free trial, Link your Android phone to your PC, set up Cortana etc).
Has anybody you ever experienced the same as me over the years? Occasionally some of the services usually offered during setup don't always appear. I have seen this a couple of times with the Link your Android Phone to your PC option and recently for the first time ever the Backup your files to Onedrive option wasn't offered during setup. The Do I want to Backup files to Onedrive option didn't appear at all so setup just moved on to the next service. I got a spinning circle for approximately 30 secs which gave me the heads up that something was amiss. The only service that was missed during the Setup was Onedrive.
Im curious to know what causes this. Is it just a problem with the Microsoft Servers ? Is the Setup procedure (Privacy and Services) really just a selection of options that Microsoft have chosen to bring to the users attention during Windows Setup meaning If any of them are missing or not offered during Setup..is it something to be concerned about.. or is it just a matter of setting them up manually yourself after Windows Setup has finished?
