    Should I upgrade from Win 10 20H2, to 21H1?

    1. Should I Upgrade Before or After, the Upcoming Windows Update on 8/10/21?

    2. Does 21H1 have any Bugs?

    1. Might as well do the In-Place upgrade now. It won't have the 8/10/21 update included anyway.
If you mean update via Windows Update, then I would probably wait till after the August Update.

    2. It had a few bugs and lots of improvements. The bugs have all been patched as of this time.

The upgrade is very minor. You can quickly do it, if your 20H2 is updated to July '21 by downloading and running this tiny (166kb) file in the link. I have used this on at least 6 pc's that I support and none encountered any of the issues put forth in comments, all updating fine, and Build # will remain the same as your 20H2. Should take less than 15 min incl restart. If it somehow fails, you can try more extensive in-place upgrade. Good Luck

I upgraded from the Check for Updates folder, and so far pretty good, I'm hoping the 8/10 update will be better?

I have that 21H1 and it is causing problems for me. Can I downgrade?

    1. Drag and drop is now erratic often freezes explorer for awhile and may drop file in unintended places.

    2. Thumbnails now unreliable. Often vanish then if I preview an image will reappear. If I do a refresh in an image folder they may all vanish and may or may not reappear.

    3. Some other processes in programs appear to take far to long now.

I wonder if MS bothers to take out the trash when they bring in more stuff? ( Speaking as a habitual pack rat )

Since I do a lot of graphics work this is a real annoyance.

Do a 21H1 repair install, you shouldn`t be having any problems with 21H1.

Or wait until 21H2 comes out.

You should start your own thread.
