Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit Upgrade iSO Download location?

Hi all, I have just fired up and old 3ghz Pentium 4 PC that has been in the shed for about 15 years. It has windows XP SP2

It has a DVD player and I was thinking of ripping some of my old DVDs to MP4. Every step has been problematic. To install a version of Handbrake software to rip the DVDs, I need Windows installer version 3.1 which MS no longer host. I have installed XP SP3 but Handbrake still won't install.

So I remembered I have Windows 7 Home Premium 3 license upgrade disks and that would solve the installer issue. It was 64 bit and 32 bit. The 32 bit disk has disk rot. The 64 bit one can't be installed as the Pentium CPU is only 32 bit.

Does anyone know where I could download a 32 bit Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade ISO from?

This is the only PC I have that has a DVD reader, so I would really like to get this working. Any help would be greatly received.

I suggest that you will expend far less effort & lose a lot less hair if you just used an up-to-date computer with an external DVD drive attached.

Then that external drive could be packed away until the next time you need it - even if that next time is with your next computer.

You could d/l the 32 bit iso from the net and use your license key.

The so called "upgrade" iso is exactly the same as the regular ms installation iso.

I see your point, but there are a few reasons I will not do that. The first is that I decided to do this on a whim. It was a like a trip down memory lane. All the DVDs can be found by streaming, but I liked the idea of having the actual files ripped.

The was problematic, but also enjoyable on an otherwise lazy weekend in lockdown for covid.

I also don't want to add to e-waste. If I reuse this PC, no matter how slow it is, it will get a new lease on life rather than get thrown into rubbish. I also know I will never have a use for an external DVD player so it will be something else I need to store.

I actually enjoyed working through with these old PCs. I managed to find enough old ram sticks to combine them into 4gb in dual channel. I also have now found an old 64gB SSD that I can use for an OS drive. And the motherboard allows independent overclocking of the memory bus and the CPU by the looks of it. That might be fun.

I couldn't remember how convoluted wifi was in xp SP2 days. An old TP Link Wifi N dongle worked much better than an old G dongle I found. Lucky my router could set up a secondary 2.4ghz setup in WPA / WPA 2 hybrid or I would have been in real trouble.
