[1] When did this start happening?
[2] Did you install ANYSoftware,Drivers, orWUsprior to this happening?
[3] Have you tried aSystem Restore Point?
[4] Have a look at this => Windows Search Not Working

And was Windows search working previously?
If you look at Indexing Options, does it show indexing has completed, and how many items are indexed?
Are you talking about
- searching from the search bar often on the task bar (or via Win key + S)
- searching from file explorer's search bar?
The forum asked you for your Windows version:
- if you don't type anything, it won't search for anything.I don't type windows search nothing.

'If I try to type in the search box nothing happens?'
If so there are various threads on tenforums reporting that. Please have a look on tenforums and see if anything helps.
