Clean Install of Win 10 Home
The installation was canceled because “windows cannot install required files.”
Error code is 0X80070006 “make sure computer is connected to internet”
Obviously a network driver issue. My system is an older legacy bios quad core 3.2 Ghz 8Gb RAM.
Trying to install win 10 on a separate drive with main system drive disconnected which has Win 10 installed working perfectly.
Im using a USB BOOTABLE thumb drive for booting obviously it works as installation appears normal until internet access is necessary. I presume the install routine cannot load network drivers. The target drive contains one large partition 2.5Tb with a smaller system partition but regardless there are bo network drivers on my disk.
No needed network drivers are mentioned in the sticky “installing windows” on this forum or anywhere else that I have seen. So why isn't the win10 install bootable media able to find them?
Can someone please help me get beyond this nagging issue.
Thanks so much!
