Still haven't been offered 21H1

I'm still on 20H2. Weeks ago, I read on another site that 21H1 was released to everyone who actively clicked "Check for updates". Well, not me. It doesn't show. Is it just me?

Edit: To clarify, what I was mainly concerned with was whether or not Microsoft was withholding the update from certain systems based on compatibility issues that were still being worked on, or if I really should have had it offered to me.

@STRESSED You can just do an In-Place upgrade... it should take about 35-45 minutes.






Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade







Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

DISABLE non-Microsoft:
a) antivirus software
b) firewall software
c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Go here and get the Media Creation Tool and save it to your desktop.

RUN the Media Creation Tool and use it to: Create an ISO image... save IT to your desktop.
This will be the latest version of the ISO image.




Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will look like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.


The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

I appreciate the replies. I found a couple other ways to obtain the update. One is to use the "Update Assistant", available at:

Yet another way (and the method I just used) is to add a couple registry values and then (without even rebooting) click "Check for updates". The registry values (shown below) can be added manually or, with Windows 10 Professional, via Group Policy:

Administrative Templates >
Windows Components >
Windows Update >
Windows Update for Business

The setting under there is "Select the target Feature Update version". I selected "Enabled" and entered "21H1" for "Target Version for Feature Updates", and then clicked OK. After that, going into Windows Update and clicking "Check for updates" is all I needed to do, and 21H1 was pulled in.

I wasn't offered 21H1 either. I just used the enablement package, and was done in under ten minutes.
