    I hear that

    I may have used windows update 1 time for a Feature update that was very small, like you said, just an enablement update.

    I`ll look into installing 21H1 that way.

    Thanks for the advice.

    LOL. See, that was quick

    It's the next version of Windows 10 that intrigues me. I guess that it's going to be a serious major update, at least that's what all the rumors indicate. I guess that we will find out the details with the Microsoft Event on June 24.

    Ya, one is always lite with some things just unlocked and then there`s a major Feature update.

    I have to do the X299 next, no rush, I`ll get to it.

    I never use Windows Update to download and install a new Feature Update..

    I always aim to use Windows Update for a Feature Update, particularly for these small enablement package ones that install like a CU. Mainly because it's the only method that records an entry in the Update History.

    Yes, As far as I can tell. I'm now dealing with another problem that I posted a new thread for.

    PS: I like your F-14, but I like the aircraft I use to work on better:

    Hi folks
    I think Ms currently having realized it's made a total dogs dinner of all the odd Windows updates currently are pausing the lot until they have worked out what to do next (Win 11 ???? perhaps). Later on this month (June 24 or so) the future strategy might become clearer.

    If you aren't currently updating anything and still want these things you can always get them from UUPDUMP and install that way.

    Personally I'd leave well alone if you have a working computer and just wait a couple of weeks or so to see what's next.

    And please if anybody from Ms peruses these Forums -- please get a grip on your QC dept - it's gone from being just plain poor to non-existent judging by some of the really silly defects found in some of these releases - and as for your preview server trials -- a Server that can't even serve (W2K22 Server trial -I've posted the problems in the Virtualisation section of these Forums) -- you couldn't even make that one up. 'Nuf said on this topic.

    @sewing1243

    I'm afraid my Pilot flying skills are in totally different types of Aircraft -- Cessna's etc -- wouldn't mind though a trip as a passenger in that plane !!!

    Cheers
