    clean install

    Hello
I just wanted to say that my windows 21H1is full of glitches I had to fix before I could image it.
Safety remove, autoplay, clock, mail client and on and on. Every time I thought I was ok something else turned up. I did the spring update then did a clean update. After personalizing I found these and more glitches. is any one else having the same issue with glitches?
I found MBAM free had taken over Windows so uninstalled it as control folder access was locked and real-time protection was disabled or deferred to MBAM. I think Windows bought MBAM-is this so?
I use Defender with Emsisoft portable as a second opinion.
To be honest I posted in Windows Forum also so I could do a mini survey.

II apologize to Windows as I installed the preview build by error.

    Good morning, maranna.

I can offer no help, sorry. But only a quick reply, to say, I have had zero glitches with 21H1.

    I wish you well.

    I simply updated.

Something I should have mentioned to you earlier, I have not yet applied the most recent 'Preview' update. I have chosen to wait on it, until the June update Tuesday.

    I am currently running 21H1 19043.985

    P.S. My build is 21H119043.1023
I don't know what that means relatively but thought I would appraise you of it.
I think if I did a clean install next time I would use reset not the MCT on a stick. There would be fewer files and hopefully less chance of glitches.
    Would you agree.

Okay, that tells me that you have applied the most recent 'KB5003214 CU 'Preview' Update'.

That is likely, the root of your recent issues.

Personally, I avoid applying 'Previews', because they can have bugs. In my opinion, it's best to let them sit, until offered through normal updates means, on the second Tuesday of each month.

I'm sorry, maranna, I can't offer further advice, as I am not tech savvy enough to.

Hopefully, a more skilled member, will respond your question.

Again, I wish you the best.

You cleared a lot up because the update was offered I took it not realizing it was a preview even if it’s stated it I didn’t see that in the future I’ll know better right now all the kinks seem to have been worked out thanks a lot for the information

Yes, even if it's offered, read carefully, and watch out for the word 'Preview'. If you see that, my advice, as a novice, would be to avoid applying it, until it is offered a bit later.

There are many members here with the knowledge to resolve issues that may arise from a, not-yet-fully-tested update. But I am not one of them, unfortunately. So, my advice is to dodge the bugs (Previews).

I really do wish, I could offer you a better solution, but I will not pretend to.

    Take care.
