The bcdedit.exe /set {globalsettings} highestmode on doesn't fix the stretched windows boot logo on my pc. What should I do? It is so annoying 🙄 I've been looking for any solutions for several months and none of them worked.

I had to disable CSM support. basically it disables legacy support for the bios.

I finally found a solution that worked for me after hours of research and years of living with it. I've tried every single BIOS option and combinations of options and read every thread I could.
Strangely the solution was found on a Microsoft webpage, Microsoft Docs, not to be mistaken with Microsoft forums, where you only get automated responses from employees who don't know what you're talking about nor care.
It was a long journey, I could write the Bible about this but I don't want to bore you, long story short, the solution:

You have to run Command Prompt as Admin and paste this:

    bcdedit.exe -set {globalsettings} highestmode on

    Source: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...t/bcdedit--set

Note: Tested on Pro edition, I don't know if it works on Home edition as on this other link is a requirement: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...unbranded-boot
I know this is about as late as it gets, but I never thanked you for this solution, which sorted the problem completely on Windows 10.

The reason I'm here is I noticed the same issue on 11 and never got round to fixing it, so lo and behold remembered this thread from years ago and your solution STILL works. OCD cured again.

So thank you very, very much, it makes such a difference to see the logo displayed correctly, and apologies it took literally 3 years for me to post this reply and thanks
