So now I have everything working as it should, I have just one little glitch:

    Windows boot logo deformation

The above thread sums it up nicely. The pic on the left is what I get, the one on the right is how it should be. I am on GPT UEFA, and the one on the right is of course MBR.

I've tried 'disabling secure boot' which seems to be the frequent solution, but it didn't work.

It's an OCD thing - I'd like the boot logo to look proper.

I know it has something to do with the graphics driver between the UEFI (BIOS) and Windows, but I've no idea how to resolve it.

    Any suggestions?
I finally found a solution that worked for me after hours of research and years of living with it. I've tried every single BIOS option and combinations of options and read every thread I could.
Strangely the solution was found on a Microsoft webpage, Microsoft Docs, not to be mistaken with Microsoft forums, where you only get automated responses from employees who don't know what you're talking about nor care.
It was a long journey, I could write the Bible about this but I don't want to bore you, long story short, the solution:

You have to run Command Prompt as Admin and paste this:

    bcdedit.exe -set {globalsettings} highestmode on

    Source: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...t/bcdedit--set

Note: Tested on Pro edition, I don't know if it works on Home edition as on this other link is a requirement: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...unbranded-boot

Yay! That simple bcdedit command did the trick on my Windows 10 Home. No more hideous, distorted
boot logo and spinning dot thingie! As an odd side effect, it took almost a minute for my night-time
screen dimming setting to take effect, on first reboot. It has usually been "instantaneous" on display of desktop.

Some hardware are treated different on Legacy mode and on UEFI mode.

Why are you wasting time for a detail that happens only for some seconds, before the OS is completely loaded and doesn't interfere on any way after windows is running?

OCD is a common, chronic, and long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts (obsessions) and behaviours (compulsions) that he or she feels the urge to repeat over and over until satisfaction.

    Obsession:
    Windows Logo is distorted

    Compulsion:
Have to fix it, it's unbearable !!!

    Remedy:
    bcdedit.exe /set {globalsettings} highestmode on

    Thanks Doc !!!

    Actually, it's "bcdedit.exe /set .... ", not "bcdedit.exe -set .... ".

Why not? Believe it or not, there is people that cares about aesthetics. There is nothing bad in order and cleanliness.

Actually it doesn't matter, you also can remove ".exe" and still works, I just copied and pasted it from documentation, command prompt accepts multiple forms.

After years of frustration, you came to save us.
Your name will be spoken to my sons... and future generations.
Maybe, after a couple of centuries, you'll be remembered as a mythological creature.
    Thank you.
