Update Win 10 Home from v1709 to 20h2
Hey All,
I am trying to help my 70+ year old sister REMOTELY update her version of Win10. She has an HP Envy laptop running Win10 Home. Version 1709 build 16299.1087. Obviously it is very behind and I can only guess that it is because she has not left it on long enough often enough for updates to proceed normally.
I've tried the update assistant and tried downloading the ISO file to a 32GB USB. The result is always the same, I get a message that says "We can't tell if your PC has enough space......"
I have run the disk clean up and checked the "clean up system files" box. I have defraged and runjv16 PowerTools. There appears to be plenty of available space. 833GB free on (C:) out of 931Gb. I have run the Windows update troubleshooter. The troubleshooter fixed 2 problems but said it could not fix " Potential Windows Update Database error detected". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Heat
