Thanks, but I was able to get my fourth Macrium backup attempt to complete successfully (and I verified the backup as well, just to make sure).

After getting Macrium to complete the backup, I went ahead and updated the BIOS on my motherboard (first to F31, then to F50a, then finally to F50e (which is the latest version)). And what do you know! After doing that, I was able to boot into WinPE from my USB flash drive that was created from MCT 20H2 (which did not work before)! So I got out of that and I am now running the OS update that is part of MCT 20H2 from within Windows. I suspect it will work now, but I will post back once it works.

I know that people don't like to make bios updates.
But in that case there was no getting around it.
But everything went well.
You should definitely keep an eye on the hard drive and make backups regularly.

I would suggest you do yourself a huge favour and consider following zbook's directions at your next immediate convenience.
Running these tests will quantify the state of your drives and allow you to make plans for data backup or replacement, as may be required. It might make your life a whole lot easier if you understand the drives condition before your PC just fails to boot.
I run these tests periodically, just so I know. Most surprises on a PC suck and all components will fail eventually, that's a given. You've already been warned with errors several times, count that as lucky.
