    Okay

Install the Net Framework update and restart the Machine.

With the list of commands I wrote to you, all Realtek audio drivers that were installed were removed.

It would now be interesting to know which hardware IDs the devices have that show in the device manager that there is no driver or even unknown devices.

    Okay,

Upload the CBS folder from the path: c:\Windows\logs again.

Please do not install any more drivers for the time being.

I would then come back to you tomorrow (your time).

    Tekkie Boy,

I know that you are asleep right now, but I wanted to add this additional information so that you will have it when you next look at this problem.

All of my drives are running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit now.
The drive we are working on presented that error after the last update that it was trying to update something that was already newer on the drive.
I do not have that error on the other drives with a MS update.
I do have that same type of error with some HP USB and printer updates.
All same hardware. A slightly different assortment of software.
    Different Windows Update errors. Strange.

The other thing I wish to tell you.
I was slightly incorrect about the Realtek driver.
I do have 6.0.1.8036 on one of the drives and it works okay.
But there is a small conflict.

Need Help - Windows 7 to Windows 10 Upgrade Failures-device_manager.jpg

The devices have to do with NVidia’s HD audio feature.

Need Help - Windows 7 to Windows 10 Upgrade Failures-device_id.jpg

A MS help page talks about unchecking HD Audio from NVidia’s driver.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...c-4c7c2e503aa2

On my other drives there is no conflict and no unknown devices.
The Realtek driver on those no conflict drives is an earlier one
    6.0.1.7083

So I think ultimately the solution to the audio problem will require that earlier written driver.

    Hope this helps.

Despite the driver appearing to load, upon reboot, it is still not present and the audio still does not work.
    Very perplexing.

Short question: Do you still have the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool on this computer?
