    No problem.

    Take your time.

    My concentration leaves a lot to be desired today.

    Hence, it is good to quit.

    Have a nice day.

    Here is a suggestion, see if it fits in with your thinking, once you are fresh. It deals with registry problems.

    Disable your antivirus program before running Windows Repair.
    How to Temporarily Disable your Anti-virus
    In Windows 10, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Defender, and turn off the “Real-time protection” option.

    Run Windows Repair
    Right click on the exe & click on > Run as administrator.
    Go straight to Repairs in Safe mode with Networking, as per my screenshot.

    @Jmatt

    Thanks for your contribution.

    Sometimes it's good to take a break or when people like you come up with an idea and you think about things.

    But in this case there is no need for further action with regard to the problem that the registry entry cannot be imported.

    After evaluating the Software hive provided by @lucydog, the entry was imported despite the error message.

    Some things are strange.

    I come back to you @lucydog.

    Later.

    @lucydog

    Download this Fixlist.txt, copy it back to the LucyDog folder on your desktop to the Farbar tool, restart the Farbar tool as administrator and click the Fix button.

    When the tool finishes, it will re-create the Fixlog.txt file and a new CBS.txt on your desktop.

    Before uploading it, I would like to ask you to press the scan button in the Farbar tool beforehand.

    The tool creates two log files named FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the LucyDog folder.

    When done upload the four files: Fixlog.txt, CBS.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt and share the link please.

    An in-place upgrade is only possible while Windows is running.

    Insert the USB stick with Windows 10 into the PC and then start setup.exe on the stick.

    As part of the in-place upgrade, you should be given the option to keep apps and files.
