    v1909 to 20H2 file loss?

I am running Windows 10 Home v1909 (OS build 18363.1440). If I update to v20H2 will I lose any files in Microsoft 365 or Outlook?

    Regards,
    Wes

    Welcome to Ten Forums

No, there is nothing about a major feature update that would risk loosing anything in Microsoft 365 or Outlook.

That's not to say there aren't risks in upgrading, but they're more along the lines of breaking Windows rather than loosing a few files. Fortunately that risk is very low, and can be prepared for by making a system image before you start, as oscer1 wisely advises. You could use Macrium Reflect Free for that.

Make a full OS image backup, then do an In-Place Upgrade...

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

All your programs and files will be intact when you're done.
