How did you try to update:
    - With WU
    - Running Win 10 installation setup.exe under windows?

    On BIOS, disable secure boot
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...a-585bb4331298

    Lets do the basic
    - Test your drive
Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    chkdsk c: /f
It will say your disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = yes
    Restart
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc

    - Test your system files
Back to Windows, Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    sfc /scannow

If it find any error, reboot and run again. Repeat (run and reboot) till it don't find any error.

    - Repair windows image
Back to Windows, Open a CMD window as administrator and type:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Please run through Matthew Wai's suggestions in post #2 and post results.

Before you try again - having logged in, then running setup.exe- uninstall any security software.
And when you do, given the error message, disconnect your PC from the internet and choose not to receive updates if you get that far.

Try running Setupdiag.exe - free from MS - this attempts to look at the upgrade log files and match against known cases.

After that, this is another for @zbook.
