Now it is too late to talk about this but it may happen that your larger SSD may dissipate more heat inside your machine - usually because more transistors, more heat.
Since the fan is the same, something else might need to run cooler i.e., running at top performance for shorter periods before automatically reducing its speed.
Weird as it may sound, your CPU or GPU maximum turbo performance may not be the same as it were.
