    Hi everyone
decided to go with a fresh install next week - for me the best all-round easy option.

However curiosity got the better of me - decided to cheat, and cloned the windows 10 partition only onto the ssd purely to see what happened. This done only as an interim measure.
It worked, so was able to see what performance difference between a sata hdd and a ssd. Liked the result!!

It`s only booting because you still have the other drive connected correct ?

If you were to unplug it, windows might not boot.

That is the true test to see if the clone worked properly.

If you still have both drives connected, post a shot of Partition Wizard showing everything

I can confirm that the leads from the hdd were transferred to the ssd. And it worked OK. Every aspect is functioning correctly.
This is now in use, but will do a full fresh install next week.
