Clean Install while existing merged partitions

    Hello all,

I am using Windows 10 on a PC.

I had merged my non-system partitions for storage. When my system crashed and cannot boot anymore, I decided to go with long due system hard drive increase and bought another SSD. I made a clean install only by disconnecting one of these hard drives. After the installation I connected it again and now the system gets stuck at the spinning dots during the boot. If I disconnect the hard drive again it boots normally.

I am guessing this has something to do with partition merge. I don't want to lose my data in those hard drives.

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance...

    Please run:

DiskParInfo.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

Tuneup.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

Where / When should these files be run? I mean, if I connect the hard disk, I cannot open Windows. If I don't connect it the system won't see it.

    Thanks.

Disconnect the problem HDD. Boot into Windows 10. Download the script files onto the desktop. Double-click on the files to run them.

When one of them is attached I can. Disk management shows it as failed.

How exactly did you merge the partitions? Is the SATA controller mode set to AHCI in your BIOS settings?

See whether you can boot into Windows PE with the HDD connected.

    Update installation error

I am now running Windows PE, on which HD Tune 2.55 Portable works.
