Win10 upgrade asking me to uninstall already-removed Acronis software

You now have to boot from Windows 7 and not the installer to start the upgrade again.

Uninstall Eset and use the Removal Tool from the Eset Website too.

Then try the upgrade again.

Trying to upgrade with 3rd party AV, firewall, or VPN installed is known to cause issues - so our standard recommendation it to uninstall all those, upgrade, then you can reinstall them after you confirm the upgrade is successfully working.

Antivirus programs bring so-called filter drivers onto the system. Such programs as well as third-party encryption software that is not available in your case should always be uninstalled before the upgrade.

Thanks guys. I will remove ESET and Malware Bytes and give the upgrade another try.

I don't have any VPN software installed. Is there anything else that could be problematic? Do I need to try to update any drivers in advance of the upgrade, or do they get upgraded as part of the upgrade process?

I would update the drivers before the upgrade attempt.

Try the upgrade first and if it fails again run the following command in the command prompt as administrator:
Dism /online /get-drivers /format:table > "%userprofile%\desktop\drivers.txt"

And then share the drivers.txt here so that we have an overview of the drivers in your system.

I'm going to post the drivers now, just in case you spot something that is known to be problematic. As mentioned, I will remove ESET and Malwarebytes. Thanks

Disconnect all devices from the PC that are not required for the upgrade:
Printer; Scanner; USB Adapter: Wlan, Ethernet and Serial Adapter, USB Sticks, Hardware dongles and so on.
When done perform a clean boot:

After clean boot start the upgrade again.

I have not been able to successfully find safe driver updates from any of the SCSI drivers. Many websites come up warning of malware. Updated drivers are not at the ASUS site.

Can anybody recommend the best/safest way to update these drivers?

For the Marvell drivers, I'm not sure if anything on their downloads page applies -
