    windows 10 factory recovery

I read an excellent tutorial from Kari, "Factory recovery -- Create a Custom Recovery Partition", 106215. Somehow, I cannot repeat the procedure. I am wondering whether anyone has successfully repeat it or has a similar procedure I can try. Thanks in advance.

I assume that you mean that you can NOT find it. If so, do you mean this? . . .

    > Factory recovery - Create a Custom Recovery Partition

    I hope this helps.

xinren, could you provide some more details please?

When you say that you cannot repeat the procedure, please be a little more precise. Are you seeing any error messages? What symptoms are you seeing? If you encounter any problems with the procedure, at what step are you having difficulties and what specifically is the issue you encounter?

Any other relevant details would also be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies and sorry for late response.

    I have tried three times.
    1. when I try to recover, I do see the option of Windows and recovery. However, I got an error: "windows setup: Windows could not display the image for installation".
    2. I recreate my environment yesterday (I am using Windows 10, 2004, pro). I can recovery. Since I never use recovery before, it looks like that it installs Windows. I am not sure whether it is correct.
    3. I somehow delete a partition during "recovery". I am repeating the whole experiment again.
    a). install a Windows 10, and create a recovery install.wim.
b). create a recovery partition, put files in recovery partition, and replace install.wim
    c). run Recovery.bat.
d). reboot and select recovery option. I got the error dialog: Windows setup: "Windows could not display the images available for installation"

Is there an error log that I can check? Thanks

    Paul and hsehestedt,

after many tries, I found my problem. Before Step 3.1, I booted from my WinPE, whereas in Kari's tutorial, it actually booted from Windows. Thank you.
