I tried to Factory reset my Laptop but it failed

So basically every time i try to factory reset my laptop, it brings me to a blue screen with options to use cmd, shut down or restart and my reset fails. I have done some searching and found that there is a file that stores my information on what the error was. I hope this information is the right one. If anyone could please tell me what this means and what i can do to fix this problem.

Can you describe why you needed to refresh? What was the problem?

If push comes to shove, are you able and willing to do a clean install?

If u meant why i wanted to reset. Its because some of my programmes were not working well . I do not have any important files on the laptop so i am open to any ideas but i am unsure what u mean by clean install.(sorry im not much of a tech guy)

I've never done a reset, but many here have, so you should get some help.

"Clean install" means to reinstall Windows from scratch as if you'd never even owned Windows before. It may come to that, but you certainly can do it without a lot of trouble. For nothing.

Part of a clean install is to totally wipe out EVERYTHING on your hard drive, so if there is anything on it you can't afford to lose, you'd have to copy that stuff to some other drive before doing the clean install. You say you don't have any important files on it, so that shouldn't be a problem.

But a reset normally should work.

Have you walked through this tutorial?
