now all I get are BSOD's

Allo there! I hope you're doing well considering all the madness that's going on in the world right now! OK so, I'm on my knees here! I've hit a brick wall with my pc. I'm a PC literate and can do 99% of things PC related, hey I go back to DOS 5.0 on a 286!! Anyway my Windows 10 system has bad... this PC is a 'homebrew' and I've never ever had any problems with it until yesterday. Windows Update said to 'Restart to Upgrade' as usual, so I did. Then the system rebooted and now all I get are BSOD's I've tried Macrium Reflects Fix Boot Errors button... doesn't work. I tried EasyBCD to repair the MBR - doesn't work!? I've checked the SSD with Kingstons Tool Box, it checks out OK, Error Free!? I'm stumped... please help... please see attached pics...now all I get are BSOD's-w10err1.jpgnow all I get are BSOD's-w10err2.jpg

Seatools won't load!? I installed onto a bootable USB as I've no Optical/Floppy drives. It boots up so far then freezes... now what, I'm lost... ?

Have a look at SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use - Windows 7 Help Forums, another guide on installing and using SeaTools DOS that includes concerns for possible problems.

Allo, sorry for the late reply. I had a right job getting Seatools to work, it's only took me 3 days! Still, I persevered an managed to solve the problem by creating a Grub 4 Dos Loader running a portable version of Linux to do it! So, here's the test results!

Most of the usual fixes don't work, because they don't affect the BCD. DISM, SFC and CHKDSK are a few examples that don't work.

Just to make sure, do you have a backup of your files? I'm not saying you're going to lose your files, but BCD problems are sometimes a bit tricky to solve and therefore I'd like to confirm that you have backed up any files you cannot afford to lose.

Could you also tell me the exact commands you ran with bootrec and bcdedit. Also, do you happen to have run the startup repair from the recovery environment (advanced options)?

At this point I'm trying to get on the same page with you regarding what exactly you have done so far while trying to narrow down the problem and finding a solution. The latter I can do better knowing what you already have done so far.
