    Installing Windows 10 fail

    Hello,

I am trying to install Windows 10 on an Asus Vivobook but it seems that the name of the USB flash drive doesn't show in the BIOS and it doesn't enter the Windows Setup and keeps kind of restarting.
I created the USB flash drive using Rufus, Windows Creation Tool and on a Mac with the Terminal but nothing it's working.
The current Windows Version is 1903.

    Processor: AMD A9-9420 RADEON R5, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G 3.00 GHz
    RAM: 4GB

I've made a short video to show you problem. 21 February 2021 - YouTube

    Could anyone help me?

    Thanks

Hi, first you need to ensure you have a valid bootable disk.

How to Make a Windows 10 USB Using Your Mac - Build a Bootable ISO From Your Mac'''s Terminal

may help you create one on a MAC.

For interest, here's the 'normal' Windows-based procedure with various methods:
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

This guide may help you with booting from a bootable flash disk for an ASUS device:
[Notebook] How to boot the system from USB flash drive/CD-ROM | Official Support | ASUS UK

Otherwise please research the procedure appropriate to your particular model.

The current Windows Version is 1903.
    This is an old build.
If you use the MS media creation tool it should be providing you the latest build -20H2.

Do you have a particular reason for using 1903? (April 2019)?

What O/S is already installed on the PC?

    @dalchina

I created this USB flash drive using the terminal.

The laptop belongs to my sister and she hasn't been using it often.

Installed is Windows 10 PRO | OS build 18362.476

Are you attempting to upgrade or install Windows for dual boot?

My post contains more than that. Thank you for your reply.

At this point you don't know the USB drive is actually correctly configured. Hence I posted a guide.

I also pointed you to ways to get the PC to recognise and boot from a boot device.

I reset it once but then I can't update it because at some point gets stuck.

The drive should appear on the boot menu whether it is bootable or not.

Please check your Bios Version on the Asus Support Website and flash the current when your Version is outdated.

When done, please try the installation again.

    Friendly greetings
