You may have to roll back the upgrade if it completed, then activate Home, then try upgrading again.
Or contact support as mentioned by macboatmaster & NavyLCDR

The link with ALL the numbers was given to you by me in post 5
Have you followed the other advice I gave you OR have you by any chance failed to read that as well please
IF YOU purchased that upgrade and it failed, because your windows 10 Home was not activated then I can assure you that the upgrade is still there on your computer awaiting your install as per the details on my post

ARE YOIU SURE you have checked please
    From my post 5

or as I said is the upgrade shown in settings -
Does this make it clearer to you
To upgrade, select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Activation .
    Open Activation settings

If you have a digital license for Windows 10 Pro, and Windows 10 Home is currently activated on your device, you'll see one of two messages when you select Go to Microsoft Store:
If you see Install, select the button to install Windows 10 Pro.
If you see Buy, you may need to purchase a Windows 10 Pro license. Or, try to sign in to Microsoft Store with the Microsoft account that was used to purchase the Pro license. Then, follow the instructions to install Windows 10
    .

Further to the above - when you check as I have outlined on my last post IF on the same microsoft account as you bought this upgrade from home to pro - you then go to the Store on the same computer
    and to the same upgrade
    you then see
When you go back to Microsoft store it shows Install button (not Buy button, so it knows it's already purchased)

IF IT DOES NOT show install then you are either NOT using the same Microsoft account OR there is something else very much amiss here with your system.

DO NOT GO direct to the Store go via the procedure I have outlined in my last post and originally on post 3 and then again on post 5.

I have solved this issue. I figured I would attempt to give some explanation on how I accomplished this.

First there is a help chat located at http://help.microsoft.com
    This help was very good

I was instructed to go to Settings->Apps
In the search list for the apps I searched for 'store' and found the Microsoft store app there is an Advanced Options button on the store. Press that. Go to the section to Reset and Reset the app data
Go back to settings->Update & Security
select Activation from the left menu
In the section Update product key there was a button for Microsoft Store. select that option and then pick restart update
The required me to reboot the system one time after the install completed.

It worked fine. Sorry I am not a very good writer so I hope people can understand the instructions above

Good to hear you sorted it
The guide I posted you missed the reset option
It appears that Microsoft managed to miss that out of their online guide

When I upgraded my laptop from Home to Pro the Enterprise version installed and not Pro. I called MS and the tech had me use the generic Windows 10 key VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T to update.

That is of course a way that can be used but in this case the upgrade had been purchased in the Store. It failed because the 10 Home was not activated and the upgrade could not then be found.
It was solved as per the previous post - by reset of store and then the install button was then again visible
