Windows 10 install problems on HP 8300

I had a previous post about creating a Windows 10 flash drive for install. That was solved.
Possible to install Windows 10 without Windows 10 PC?

However on five tries to install, the install screen keeps coming back. I've tried with and without entering the activation key. I've tried with no partitions on the hard drive and with a partition on the hard drive.

    HP Compaq Elite 8300 USDT
    8 GB RAM
    500 GB HD
    Optical DVD Drive
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470S CPU @ 2.90GH
8300 bios supports UEFI and legacy boot.

I'll try again, but it is perplexing.

Hello cootcraig and welcome to TF ,
Do you have Windows currently installed on this drive and bootable/login-able or not?

Just remove the installation drive (USB or DVD) and start the computer.

It's at the location entry screen.

When you installed, did you remove everything external other than necessary keyboard, mouse, monitor?

How did you make the install media? MS website using MCT is recommended.

Figured it out. I changed the boot order to hard drive first. Silly me, I forgot I had set to USB first.
