Please start the Windows update search in the settings and see whether the updates can be installed.

It now works! SFCFix did the trick! Thanks a lot Tekkie Boy, saved me from a world of pain with a clean install!

Various files were damaged.I then created this repair package for you and it exchanged the files.
Do you have an explanation for why the files were damaged?
If not, you should check your hard drive.
Now create a current system backup when you do something like this.

    Take care and stay healthy.

    Friendly greetings

No idea how it could have happened. The drive is a fairly new SSD. I'll make a backup using Reflect. Thanks again!

@Tekkie Boy, I have the same issue as the post before me. Can/will you please help me?

    - - - Updated - - -
@Tekkie Boy, to further explain, after updating from 19042.746 to 19042.804, SFC comes back clean, but DISM's gives me error 0x800f081f unable to locate source file.

I have noticed nothing different about my PC's operation. But, it is bothering me that I can not resolve this error code.

    Thank you.

[1] Were you connected to the Internet when you ran DISM?
[2] Have you tried running DISM from Source?

Hello @Paul Black, and thank you for the welcome. Yes I was connected to the internet, and sorry, I do not know what "running from source" means.

    TOTALLY lost with computer issues.

In my rapid attempt to catch @Tekkie Boy, I have yet to properly introduce myself, or fill out my specs.

    ...Off to a really good start, aren't I?! :)

. . . sorry, I do not know what "running from source" means.

Basically, DISM will initially try and Repair ANY Corrupted or Missing files using the Component Store.

If this is NOT possible, DISM will use Windows Update for the Repair. Therefore, Internet access is required.

If neither of the above work, then run the DISM command pointed at an ISO for the Source of the Repair.

    I hope this helps.

    @Paul Black,

Thank you sir. I am sorry for the delayed reply.

I was attempting to fill in missing details on my profile, and did not know you replied.

Anyone reading this, I ask, please bear with me, I will eventually fill in all the dots.

    Thank you so much.
