    Can't change installation preferences

Trying to do an Installation/Repair on a W-10 Pro Insider Preview.
    Reason: Updates fail
Won't reset, just says it can't.
    Using iso from
Download Windows 10 Insider Preview Advanced

It only allows me to do a clean install.

Repair has to be from the same build to keep apps etc.. Check the installed version - if the same, it's borked - backup and clean install?

Seems to me I've done many Inst./repairs on many PC s without a problem.
    This one's my own.
Where can I get an iso for this version??

I don't think MS has released the latest Insider Preview ISOs, but you can easily (and fairly quickly) build your own if you follow this TenForums tutorial from my partner and TF Team member @Kari Finn: UUP to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 Build Upgrade Files | Windows 10 Tutorials. This should set you straight!

Just want to share this with you. It might not be relevant. If so, I apologize in advance
Coincidentally I encountered a "similar" situation yesterday, but mine is NOT the Insider version....………..
Yesterday I had to do a Repair Install on my Win 10 Home version 1803 build 17134.83
I have an iso file downloaded from Media Creation Tool saved to an usb drive.
I inserted the usb > right click at the drive > Open > Setup...….
Then I was told I had an out-dated file and asked me if I wanted to use a more recent one.( paraphrasing)
I chose the "use the old file" option which was at bottom left of the screen.
That was when I encountered Choose What to Keep not allowing me to keep my files and apps. Exactly the same screen you posted.
I clicked Back > agreed to use the more recent file and it started to download and install. It allowed me to keep my files and apps this time.
I wonder if that rings a bell to you.

Result : repair install successful, but my build is now 17134.81. I'll wait for WU to give me the update. I won't use the direct download link this time.

Nice discovery @davidhk. Thanks for sharing this. Gives a little more insight into how MCT works in the new, "version-sensitive" era we've just entered.
