Bypass setup and do clean install

I just purchased a new HP AIO 22 R3 and will be my second one. Can I bypass doing the setup and instead start out and do a clean install of Windows 10 home.
My reason for this that I am sure that my first one set the C: drive as GPT and not NTFS.
Brink helped me out with that mess and I am trying to avoid hours spent installing and then doing a clean install.

Just a note, both MBR and GPT support NTFS formatting. An issue with MBR is the limit of drive size.
What’s the Difference Between GPT and MBR When Partitioning a Drive?

Bypass setup and do clean install

    Thank you Berton.
It did not register the license and told me to install windows 10 home. I was trying to avoid that happening again.
I had spent many hours talking to HP and when I told them I had restored an image file they informed me that I had voided my warranty!
I wasn't sure if I had to do the steps doing a clean before launching into the install.

Berton I am so sorry that I didn't get the thumbs up posted. I don't use this forum and forget how things work.
    Sorry.

Disk style (MBR or GPT) is a different thing of format type (FAT32, NTFS, ext4).
I suggest you don't change disk style (MBR or GPT) and keep NTFS. One more reason not to change is that new computers will only accept UEFI-GPT.

The computer came with Win 10 but it has not been activated so it is not on MS servers so you can't do a clean install before you run setup and activate. Once it's activated you can do a clean install.

The "voided warranty" part probably is predicated upon HP not knowing what software got installed that did not come from HP and the 'techs' won't be trained on the interactions, are working from a script to get the machine back to its as-shipped condition. Unfortunately it probably would have been best to get the new machine set up and working first.

Thank you for the advice. I will do the setup and see what disk management shows and then proceed with clean install if it fails to register the new system.

My suggestion is to boot from Macrium reflect rescue disk and make a disk image of the new HP AIO 22 R3 and then restore the image to the old HP AIO 22 R3. Then you can run setup and activate both.

That would probably not be true. The product key for Windows 10 installed from the factory on off-the-shelf retail computers is stored in UEFI firmware (in the ACPI table to be exact). Windows 10 setup will read that product key and use it to automatically choose which edition of Windows 10 to install, install the product key stored in UEFI firmware automatically, and activate with Microsoft the first time it is connected to the internet.

100% absolute malarkey. HP would have to prove that you caused physical damage to the hardware by installing software, such as for overclocking. You do not void a hardware warranty by changing the software on a computer, otherwise you would not be able to install nor delete any software on the computer that did not come from, or was authorized by HP.
