If you deleted all the partitions, there would be nothing to format.

    You would click next.
I am not sure what I did wrong. What should I do?

You can just let windows delete the windows.old folder in 10 or so days, or delete it yourself with disk cleanup.

You still have your original OS on the 500GB M.2 correct ?

I still have it, why? Should I try another Clean install on the 1TB Samsung? During the Install process, do I need to format a partition before I install to it, or do I need to install in unallocated space?

    So you have a backup

Not sure how, but you mucked up something.

You should not have a windows.old folder if you did a clean install.

And you should have installed 20H2, not 1909.

When I did it the first time, I am not sure which W10 version was installed. It then updated to 1909 through windows update.

You should install on unallocated space, there should be no formatting needed.

    Clean Install Windows 10

If you have a spare USB stick you can make a 20H2 installer if you want, but the usb stick has to be larger than 4GB and nothing on it, because it will get wiped when you create the W10 20H2 installer.

Download the Media Creation Tool and use it to create the installer.

It`ll walk you right threw it.

    Clean Install Windows 10
Thank you so much for your help! I will try another Clean Install later today after work. :)

My other concern is the high CPU usage that Origin does, even when computer is practically doing nothing. Since it is a Game Client, concerned that CPU usage will go even higher when playing games on Origin. Help appreciated :)

    One thing at a time.
    Do a clean install first.
During POST, press F? to launch the boot menu. You will see two options for the USB drive. USB UEFI (Name) and USB (Name). Select USB UEFI (Name).
Go to install and delete ALL partitions on the SSD till you have one and only one unallocated space and then proceed.

Example, note the difference. There are 2 listings of the same Lexar USB stick. The option listed as UEFI will install windows on a GPT disk in UEFI mode.

The other listing will install windows on a MBR disk in Legacy mode. If you don`t understand, just let us know.

How could you have all that stuff installed already if you did a clean install ?

Impossible, you did not do a clean install on a Samsung 1TB M.2
