    Win10 home will not install - 0xc1900101 - 0x20017

Please help me solve this problem which is driving me nuts. Yes, I have searched for solutions and have not yet found a reasonable one. I have Win 10 installed and activated on one computer - Asus z97 Deluxe/USB 3.1 mobo - but it ABSOLUTELY refuses to install on another computer - EVGA z97 Classified mobo. Regardless of the method - and I have tried all I know of - I ALWAYS get the same message: "Installation failed 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during Boot Operation". All bootable win 10 USBs and DVDs refuse to boot. Microsoft seems to have the attitude of ignore this problem and it will go away. I have not been able to find any advice from Microsoft concerning this problem (surprise, surprise). Out of desperation I even purchased Win 10 Home (which means I simply purchased a too expensive key. I was extremely disappointed that no different software came with with the purchase. Some of the solutions I have found are so difficult I might have been able to write a C++ program that would be much simpler - but my programming days are a thing of the past. For heaven's sake, there must be a reasonable solution for this problem. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

I knew this. I do have a Pentium (I ridiculously bought it just to see what it would do - dumb me). Thanks for pointing me to the thread. I had not seen it. I have successfully installed Win 10 on an i7-4790K and an old i7-2600K, which refuses to give up the ghost (it's motherboard did, though). Right now, the z97 Classified has an i7-4790K and Win 10 STILL will not install now, whereas it had no trouble installing several weeks ago. Something has changed in Win 10. It still works perfectly on my Asus z97 Deluxe/USB 3.1. If Microsoft is serious about getting Win 10 on as many computers as possible, they would be well advised that a ton of people have Pentiums, which might be a decent little chip if Intel would get its head out of the sand and Microsoft would get serious about solving serious problems. No wonder the current trend is (seemingly) to go back to Win 7 and - God forbid - Win 8. It would be nice if I could actually DO something on my computers other than trying for days on end to get an operating system installed. I was once a UNIX administrator for a goodly portion of West Texas starting before GUIs came into being. Makes me give serious thought to Linux. 'Nuff said. Still looking for a solution to get Win 10 installed and active.
