You meant "... so windows 10 decided to not let 10 run where CPU have NX disabled."
I think so too. If your pentium is nx compatible then in the bios this is an option to activate.

I also don't know about your pc but this is what i saw in tenforum. There may be an option in the bios to activate, which may be named differently depending on the pc bios, and not refer to the NX name.
You can request that in this thread: Let's run Win10 on really really old hardware

And if there is no option in the bios and your pentium is NX compatible, there is a command to do:
"The CPU isn't supported" error true or not
here is more on NX and DEP, the change can be done by a gui.
I also found someone said they changed it and win7 would no longer boot

so maybe its risky, what do you think ?
There is no risk, it will not block the hardware. If you can no longer boot Windows 7 you can reinstall it by removing all HDD partitions during installation. You haven't configured anything on the pc, it's time to try.
But does speccy tell you the "NX" instruction in the cpu section?
You can also see with Coreinfo command-line utility. Copy the coreinfo.exe file to the desktop and paste the path into a command prompt, "C:\Users\YourUserName\Desktop\Coreinfo.exe" press enter key. If your processor supports a feature, you will see * character next to the feature name, and - character if not supported.

Bad luck, there will be nothing to activate in the bios or the nx alwaysOn command will be useless.
But you can try a clean install of windows 10 to see if it will override the NX instruction as I have seen on the web.You can create a 50-60gb partition on the hdd to test this. In a post above you said that the emachine can boot from hdd usb, so try usb before burning a dvd.
And if it works then make sure you have the driver for your AGP MX4000 in Windows 10.
I have an older windows.iso from 2019 for windows and had to use it today because of the dell I needed to install a fresh windows 10 on is unable to boot to a usb. Also My Laptop that I use all the time will not burn a double layer, so I was stuck with using an old iso which I fortunately saved from a couple years ago. If anyone wants this iso, just post here or email me.

That won't be necessary, there are several ways to get an ISO direct from Microsoft for any version you may want, right back to the original version 1507, build 10240.
There are Options Five and Six in this tutorial.
Download Windows 10 ISO File
You can also use this universal media creation tool wrapper to run the MCT for any version you like to make a USB or an ISO.

Many thanks, I didn't know that. Do you know which iso is the most recent that WOULD fit onto a 4.7gb DVD? That way I could spend a lot less time with windows update running a very long time. Thanks again for the info.
