Windows 10 Retail USB
Is the Windows 10 Retail USB made of aluminum alloy or zinc alloy? The USB edge of the drive have small wear marks caused by plugging and unplugging of the drive.

I don't know the answer but it's nothing to be concerned about. Is there anything on the Retail USB drive other than a version of Windows 10? I would doubt it.
All you have to do is buy another USB flash drive of the same size or larger, download the latest Windows 10 ISO and put it on the new USB flash drive. If you do this with the Media Creation Tool it will handle everything for you.
It will be a complete replacement for the Retail version you purchased and best of all it will be at the current level so you won't have a bunch of updates to apply if you ever need to use it.
Hello neighbor Ya I don`t know either but...
How often do you use it ?
Apparently it`s Read only so it really can`t be used like a normal USB stick.
Do you know what version it has on it ?
It will be older than the currently available version. That's why I suggested using MCT to create a new USB flash drive at the currently available release level which is 2004 19041.572.

If I use the latest installer from Media Creation Tool I get a BSOD on first boot after clean install because I have an ASUS AX58BT Wi-Fi 6 PCI-E adapter which uses Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 chipset installed on my ASUS Maxiumum XI Hero Wi-Fi motherboard which contains a built-in Wi-Fi 5 module which uses Intel Wi-Fi AC 9560 chipset. This does not happen when using the older retail version since the Wi-Fi 6 adapter doesn't have the driver installed until it is downloaded from Windows Update while using the built-in Wi-Fi 5 module. Windows Update installs the latest driver for both Wi-Fi adapters automatically at the same time. I manually use the Update Assistant instead of Windows Update to update to 20H2.
Interesting. What version of Windows 10 are you running now (winver output)?
One fix for that is to disable the onboard Intel Wi-Fi AC 9560 then install a USB WiFI dongle to replace it. I had to do that for a friend and it worked great. He actually went up a notch from a Single 2.4Ghz band to a Dual 2.4/5Ghz band and was quite happy.
I don't have a USB Wi-Fi dongle. The Windows 10 Pro retail version comes with 17763.107. The Media Creation Tool contains 19041.572. It contains an inbox Wi-Fi driver that causes BSOD with SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTIONS_NOT_HANDLED in file netwtw08.sys if I use the BIOS default settings.
Ya it`s funny how we`re not answering his simple question.
I googled it and of course nothing came up, I wasn`t surprised
Mine are all made out of 24 CT Gold
It doesn't affect anything since the metal body is just USB shield ground.
