    Migrating to new SSD?

I created an image of the old SSD with macrium Reflect and restored it to the new SSD.
However the PC won't boot even if that's the only SSD I have installed.

In Diskmanagement Events I can see:
"Device settings for SCSI\Disk&Ven_NVMe&Prod_Samsung_SSD_970\5&bbc8c1b&0&000000 were not migrated from previous OS installation due to partial or ambiguous device match."

Boot from the macrium recovery usb again, then choose Restore > Fix Windows Boot Problems. I needed that when I restored the image of an HDD to a replacement SSD.

Thanks I did that and it worked.
However now I can't find a way to increase the size of the boot partition to use the full disk.

You could have resized or reordered the partitions as part of the restore process. The process to shrink a partiton being resored is described here, you should be able to enlarge it in the same way.

Can Macrium Reflect resize partitions when restoring to a smaller drive?

If you've not made any changes yet then it may be simplest to repeat the restore.

After the event resizing a partition will be possible in Disk Management is there is unallocated space immediately after the partition, if not then MiniTools Partition Wizard or similar can do it.

Yes MiniTools Partition Wizard worked, Disk Management couldn't handle it.
I had to move partitions to make space next to the main partition.
    Works fine now.

Time to make a new image then (and to mark this thread Solved)
