That's the way to go though only one thing is one would have to do this every 4 months since MS isn't doing service packs any longer but from what I understand now its new service release every 4 months

The last time I installed Win 8.1 (plus Office 2010), Windows Update provided more than a gigabyte of updates.

Maybe Microsoft will do better with 10 in offering up-to-date versions of the .iso, but I wouldn't care to bet on that.
Microsoft updated the Windows 8.1 ISO to include the Nov Update. When did you last download an ISO? I don't see why they wouldn't update the Windows 10 one too. They aren't going to do it every month, but probably once or twice a year I would think.

I would think this is a pretty moot point. The update will always be available via Windows Update. If Microsoft offers updated ISOs, they will be an option, but not a requirement.

Something has to be done, if not ? I know I will be freaking out at MS for it, but I can't seeing it not being the case

ISO's will be updated, why would they not do it? Worst case scenario is you clean install just before a new image is released. It's not the end of the world here people. They are releasing "cumulative" updates. You'll get one or two big updates that will be smaller in size than all the small ones added together, that we've gotten already. How often do you do clean installs?

I've done a few lately, testing out Enterprise and the Education version. For most people though, IMHO, that's not the norm. The average Joe isn't going to be doing clean installs all that often. I don't see doing some updates as all that big of a deal.
