I was wrong by stating: "You must boot into Windows 7". Actually, It does not matter which Windows you boot from. To get the graphical dual boot menu:hello top...i tried your suggestion but heres what happened
- While in Windows 7, use: bcdboot X:\Windows where X is the drive letter of Windows 10. But for some reason, you get an error.
- While in Windows 10, Use: bcdboot C:\Windows
Either 1 or 2 should give the same result.
thank you :)

hello again SIW2 i tried the dism but it wouldnt let me apply the image to D; root...rather i had to create a directory to extract into which created other problems so i wiped the mess clean again to try to install from the flash drive....but here are the errors i got... AGAIN it said i cant install into a GPT partition even tho my bios is set to UEFI
I presume you mean dism++ ( which is not the same as dism)i tried the dism but it wouldnt let me apply the image
What do you mean by?it wouldnt let me
Did it give a message?
You need to boot the usb stick in efi mode.it said i cant install into a GPT partition even tho my bios is set to UEFI
Press F12 for the one time boot menu and there should be two entries for the usb stick.
it said i couldnt install into the D: root directory rather into a sub folder which gave me an undesired result especially when i wanted to move everything into the root...

i tried again the run the installer from inside win10...i encountered no disk partition errors this this but when it got to 18 % of the files being expanded, i got this error again
It might be useful if you fill in your system specs.
when you run dism++ in the booted media , what does it say at the top left of the main window?
What you have posted seems to indicate 2 different issues:
1. the media is not booting in efi
2. the image is corrupted.
Possibly because the media is not booted in efi modei tried the dism but it wouldnt let me apply the image
Extracting the image with dism++ to see if it completes the extraction.it said i couldnt install into the D: root directory rather into a sub folder which gave me an undesired result especially when i wanted to move everything into the root...
If it gives an extraction error, that would confirm a corrupt image.
OK...heres what i did...
heres my present drive set up as shown in my disk manager
so i performed a dism command thru an admin command prompt from the desktop...everything went fine in about 45 seconds it was finished...afterwards i checked the properties of the windows directories as it was written to the SSD
& it was about 17.7 GB of goodies.
i even configured the boot menu as i wanted to be in the win 10 style with 10 as the default & 7 as the optional...
my problem now is when i choose to boot into win 7 i see the 4 swirling colors just fine...but then it stops booting, win 7 doesnt finish loading & the computer restarts into the recovery options mode
is there an option inside the program you wrote that would repair or fix this to allow win7 to be properly loaded?
i saw the nt6 repair windows you posted but i dont know how to use that utility & i dont know what all the settings mean...im willing to learn but as of now ii hesitate to create more problems
hello this is the bios i have...i dunno if i have any option to boot usb in efi mode IM TRYING TO ATTACH A SCREENSHOT but the file attachment manager isnt working...its retaining files from a year ago without deleting them & wont let me upload any new ones...has anyone checked this to fix it?
