Hi, question has been asked and answered a number of times. It's a perennial one -every build is rolled out over several months. One line (from News) is 2004 is not being offered proactively- only to seekers (manual scan for updates). Another is a number have found it problematic, whilst others, as you'd expect are happy. Here on tenforums, we've found a couple of new issues over the last 3 or 4 weeks.

Many say wait, let the dust settle. Or you can create a disk image (which you're doing of course) and try it at your own risk. It offers little new.

    Try searching for
    Windows 2004 problems
and see the relevant News article esp. Known and resolved issues.

There's always a lot of fuss on Computeractive about new versions causing trouble . I have to say not only have they never caused a problem I don't understand the fuss over when updates are installed, that's never been a problem either.

Stay with 1909, no need for 2004.

And when you install it, use the Iso file method, not windows update.

Download the 2004 Iso file, open it with windows explorer, and click on setup.

But wait a few months. If 1909 is doing all you need it to do, then there`s no need for 2004 this soon. Give it another 3 or 4 months.
