Fresh install of 2004

Hi All,
Here is a explaination of what happend for me to post.
I have been following the "How to get the Windows 10 May 2020 Update version 2004 since it was created.
On this i7 7700k system, I like others downloaded the update using the media tool and upgraded without any errors when it first was available. Also my older desktop and laptop did receive the update through WU and working great ever since with no problems. (knock on wood).
A couple days ago I installed "OIbit Advanced System Care" which was a free giveaway to test it and see if some of the features would be good for me. Big mistake I guess
It slowed down my internet to 1/3 of the speed and caused glitches. I tried turning off many features and rebooting each time and still no difference. I then decided to restore to the Restore Point I made before installing the application. Twice it rebooted and could not complete the restore point so nothing changed. Only thing was some of my programs and games would not execute. Double-click the icons and nothing After reinstalling a few of them they worked.
As a practice I do a fresh install every year or so just to clean things up. I am about 18 months now before doing that.
I still have the USB ver. 10.0.19041 B 264 that I created to upgrade this system. My question is "would there be a problem doing a clean install with is copy? Some are saying in the above link I am following not to install the 2004 version.
I don't want to start the process and find that at the end it will display a message that this version cannot be installed lol.
Greatly appreciate any replies.

@dalchina thanks for the reply. I have Advanced system care uninstalled and all reg entries removed. Yes I forgot about my reflect backup. I will do that and see how it does. thanks again

Yes I have a M.2 250 SSD and did uncheck the optimize or defrag options.

System Restore is infamous for unpredictably not completing a restore successfully- great when it works.

I don't know if the free version you downloaded included a trial of its AV as well.

I got the Pro version and free license.
How do you protect yourself from this sort of predicament - and worse - e.g. failed system disk? As is so, so often recommended here- use disk imaging routinely and regularly e.g. Macrium (free/paid) + large enough external storage for image files.

Yes I use Macrium Reflect and forgot about that lol
Then you can restore Windows or any imaged disk or partitions to a good prior state, and have a full backup.

You might try uninstalling the IOBIT program with the help of Revo Uninstaller or Geek uninstaller (free). I use the latter routinely.

I only replied to your post kind of quickly because I had to hurry to an appointment. Sorry about that. I will hunt down my backup and do that later today when I get a chance.

Well I decided to make the plunge and do a clean install of win 10 Pro ver, 2004. I had my Reflect backup just in case of failure. Also I have 1909 on a USB, so i am good to go :)
All went fast and well. System running smooth and no hiccups so far while reinstalling applications.
