    Cantana,

Even if you understand why it has not been updating since 2015, do make a system image & a full file backup of your own files before you start so you can get back to square one if it all goes wrong.

Macrium Reflect is often recommended in this forum for making system images. Other utilities are available but this one is so commonplace that you can get plenty of help for it.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect - TenForumsTutorials
    Macrium Software Macrium Reflect Free
    Macrium USB - TenForums
Macrium Reflect KnowledgeBase - user guide [version-independent link]

It can also make bootable system images. This facility is called viBoot and it requires Win10 Pro.
    Macrium viBoot - Macrium KB
Macrium viBoot - Create Virtual Machine using Macrium Image - TenForumsTutorials

    Best of luck,
    Denis

Can I update it from my version 1507 to the latest Windows version? ... I just need to update my current version without performing a clean install. Did anyone do this before?
Yes, I have upgraded a Win7 machine first to 1507 (10240) then upgraded from that directly to the (at that time) latest version 1903. I see no reason why you can't got direct from 1507 to 1909 or 2004.

The reason I had to upgrade to 1507 first? There was installed software in W7 that an upgrade to 1511 or any later version insisted on removing. Only 1507 would allow it to remain installed. Once upgraded to W10 subsequent upgrades to any version including the latest 2004 allowed it to remain installed and working.

Yeah once I did the same, 1507 to 1903 or 1909 (cant remember the exact,) using Windows update assistant. But after few days I updated the system using Windows updater and then the system crashed, I coudnot even log into my account. So at that time I had the 1507 ISO file and then formatted the partion and reinstalled it. After that I never updated my system, So thats why Um trying to go for a clean install again

If you don't have win10 ver1909, you can download from MS using Heidoc tool.

As sources\install.wim is bigger than 4G you have to split it to smaller install.swm files
    Have a look at split.zip
