    Sorry! I seem to have been very remiss at leaving required info out of my posts. At present hubby is on an MBR system and I'm upgrading him to a Z390 mobo from a Z270 - he has a retail licence for Windows 10 Pro.

    I'm just waiting now for a 500GB M.2 memory module and I shall be all set to start the upgrade. I think I've also sussed how to do a Universal Restore of his current installation so hopefully things will go well. I shall be doing both a Macrium and Shadow Maker backup of his system disk before I do anything though. I intend to do everything I can to make sure I can get his PC up and running. Never had any problems in the past - don't anticipate any this time, but then you never know.

    If retail license the license is transferable.
