Windows 10 installation problems

Hi there, hope you are all doing well!
So, I have a Toshiba satellite A200 and I try to install windows 10 64 bit on it. The problem is that I made up all the job, flash my isso onto the penderive, and everything was fine. Rebooted the notebook and try to boot with my windows 10 setup, the penderive shows up, bu when I start it shows nothing, only the cursor blinking. I think that maybe the problem was with the setup, and so I try to boot with my kali linux cd and it gives me the same problem. And now after doing that my computer is closing brutally, it starts and sometimes shutdown on the windows loading, other times it opens windows and closes brutally when I'm working. My cooler is working fine. I'm using windows 10 32 bit, my cpu supports 64bts

Are you trying to update 32 bit Windows to 64 bit?

If so, it won't work.

You would have to clean install the 64 bit version.

You can only update 32 bit to 32 bit, and 64 bit to 64 bit.

If your boot type in the BIOS (Legacy or UEFI) doesn't match the boot disks, they won't boot.

Toshiba satellite A200 - from around 2007 - very old, so no guarantees whatsoever that Win 10 will work properly on it without problems. Even if one build works, the next may not.

Look at the available drivers for it. Are there any 64 bit drivers listed? You may only be able to run 32 bit Windows on it.

Check on the net for other users' experience of running Win 10 on it.

Have you been offered an upgrade to Win 10 via Windows Update? If not, it's a sign it may not be compatible.

Perhaps you haven't properly created a bootable drive. The easiest way to do that is with the MS media creation tool- one option is to create the bootable drive directly.

It's very easy not to get it right if you use an iso. I hope you haven't simply copied the iso file to the flash drive. See:

Using a bootable disk like that will clean install Win 10 - you will delete all existing Windows partitions- lose all programs and data.

Upgrading starts when you are logged in.
