    WAU Manager reliability and function

I have a Win10 based server with a Parity Storage Space having a lot of data on it. I have read the latest Win10 update destroys a storage space of that type. I am planning to use the WAU Manager (Carifred.com) on the server and the clients.

How would I confirm positively the WAU Manager is blocking the update on each PC?
After the WAU is applied and PC shut down, do I have to run it again on restarting the server and clients to continue the protection? Will the update blocking automatically restart itself on boot, without having to run the WAUmanager.exe?

I would also appreciate your opinion of WAU Manager and possible alternatives.
The Windows versions here are 1809 and 1903.

    Your advice is appreciated.

I use Windows Update MiniTool to hide (block) updates.

    It is reliable.
